Description:

The Engineer I is a temporary, grant funded position which provides technical support to engineering tasks as assigned according to contract requirements.

*Please note:  This is a grant funded position and continuation is dependent upon future funding.

Duties:

  • Provides technical support to engineering tasks as assigned according to contract requirements.
  • Assists in basic design, planning, and analysis utilizing standard engineering principles and practices.
  • Prepares technical reports and documentation on deliverables as assigned according to contract requirements and performs related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant engineering and science discipline.
  2. Previous employment through UHCL's Boeing Student Development Partnership.
  3. Knowledge of standard engineering principles and practices.
  4. Skills in technical reports and documentation.
  5. Ability to collaborate with other engineers and technical teams on projects.
All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
