Description:
Provides bookkeeping and secretarial support to a department or center.
1. Answers and directs calls and visitors; provides customer service to students.
2. Prepares correspondence and reports.
3. Provides secretarial support to faculty and departmental staff.
4. Assists with scheduling and coordinating projects and events.
5. Prepares purchase requisitions and vouchers, travel requests and vouchers, and other accounting forms for department.
6. Processes deposits for payments.
7. Reconciles university credit card purchases, and prepares associated expense reports.
8. Assists with departmental time reporting and payroll processing.
9. Maintains and updates departmental files and logs; updates departmental databases.
10. Inventories and orders office supplies.
11. Serves as department property custodian; monitors and completes annual inventory of capital assets.
12. Sorts and distributes mail.
13. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification: High School diploma or GED and (3) years secretarial and/or bookkeeping experience
