Job Summary
The Returning Student Coach oversees new students' recruitment and assists students with their academic goals. Guide students through the enrollment process from applicant to enrolled.
Duties
- Facilitates outreach and onboarding of students for student reclamation programs
- Maintains and monitors the caseload of students via proactive outreach
- Conducts ongoing communication with students using various methods
- Serves as liaison to student success resources and services
- Collaborates with university administrators and departments to facilitate the development and maintenance of business processes and procedures
- Tracks and assesses trends in student academic and non-academic needs

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position
Skills:
- Good technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and PeopleSoft
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good public speaking skills
- Good project management skills
Abilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community
Work Location and Physical Demands
Primary Work Location:
- Works in an office environment
Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in a typical interior work environment, which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements
- The individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing, etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Education, Marketing, or a related field
Required Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of related job experience
License/Certification:
Preferred Qualifications
