Description:
Manages the Victoria Regional History Center (VRHC), a joint collection and service of the university and Victoria College. The collections of the VRHC includes university archives, Victoria College archives, VRHC manuscript collections, special collections, the Texas Regional Historical Resource Depository, and the library's Texana collection.
1. Develops, curates, and makes accessible manuscript and archival collections, which includes managing, prioritizing, processing, arranging, and describing collections.
2. Creates documentation for content, procedures, and assessment for manuscript and archival collections; establishes procedures for the acquisition of archival and manuscript materials.
3. Develops and maintains the VRHC web presence to provide accessibility to collections in print and digital environments.
4. Serves as an active contributor to the library's reference and collection development programs and services.
5. Serves on library and campus-wide committees and represents the library in the community as a spokesperson for the historical collections of the Library.
6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree specializing in archival and/or library science. Coursework in archival standards and practices. Records management or archival records management experience. Two years of related experience and supervisory experience preferred
