The Department of Management in the Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB) at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is excited to invite applications for a full-time, renewable, non-tenure track Lecturer position in Management, beginning August 2025.
We are looking for dedicated educators and experienced professionals with expertise in areas such as leadership, human resources, strategic management, and operations management. If you're student-focused and eager to bring real-world insights into the classroom, we want to hear from you!

Programs that serve a wide range of students — from traditional undergraduates to working professionals — with majors in Management and Human Resources Management, as well as a Bachelor’s in Applied Administration and two minors.

As a Lecturer, you'll:
Teach courses in leadership, human resource management, strategic management, operations management, and related areas.
Support student success through innovative, applied teaching across multiple formats (face-to-face, online, hybrid) and locations (downtown and suburban campuses).
Help strengthen our curriculum by drawing from your own professional management experience.
Be part of a collegial environment that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and community impact.
A Master’s degree in a related field (MBA from an AACSB-accredited institution is highly preferred).
Real-world, progressive experience in management roles, ideally in leadership, HR, strategy, or operations.
A demonstrated commitment to student success, teaching excellence, and curriculum development.
Experience teaching multiple management courses and engaging diverse student populations is highly valued.
