Description:

The Graduate Administrative Assistant in the College of Sciences and Technology is a year-long appointment that serves primarily as information and data support to the College. The fellow will work on a variety of projects relevant to the college with an emphasis on academic data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.

DUTIES:

• Interface primarily with the Dean, Associate Dean, and Director of MSDA
• Using technology, student, schedule, and classroom information, the Graduate Administrative Assistant will help track retention and performance of undergraduate and graduate students
• Relay information to the Dean and Associate Dean as well as any relevant constituencies (e.g. Chairs, Directors, Assistant Dean)
• May attend internal/external recruiting events to help represent the College
• May also serve in potential recruiting roles providing insider experience to potential students
• May work with undergraduate or graduate staff or students as needed
• Will use PeopleSoft, Banner, EAB, AdvisorTrac, MS Office, Canvas, data visualization software and general office equipment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be approachable, resourceful, and able to work independently

Qualifications

• Must be an active UHD MS in Data Analytics student in good standing taking at least 2 courses per long semester

Preferred Qualifications

• Students with visualization software experience
