Description:
The UHD Welcome Desks are the first point of contact for campus visitors and prospective students. Each desk offers campus maps, a digital screen with daily event information, UHD publications, and friendly staff ready to assist with any questions. The Welcome Desks play a vital role in creating a positive first impression of the campus.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides general campus information to members of the campus community as well as university visitors
• Provides excellent customer service to students, internal and external guests regarding any questions and/or directions
• Serves as a face for the university, primarily to answer questions and provide information regarding on-campus events and classroom/office/building/parking locations
• Disseminates campus information via print and electronic mediums
• Must have effective communication skills
• Types or creates material as assigned and makes necessary photo copies on copy equipment
• Runs errands and assists the Enrollment Management division when needed
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled at UHD
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 or above
• Work a minimum of 20 hours per week
