Description:
The Executive Director of Parking and Transportation Services provides visionary leadership and strategic oversight for all campus parking and transportation operations. This role ensures the delivery of innovative, technology-driven, customer focused mobility solutions that support the University's mission, student success goals, and campus master planning.
Job Duties
1. Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for parking and transportation aligned with institutional priorities.
2. Lead rate-setting strategies and financial modeling to ensure fiscal sustainability.
3. Champion the adoption of smart technologies including license plate recognition (LPR), mobile payment platforms, and real-time parking analytics.
4. Oversee the integration of transportation systems with enterprise platforms.
5. Direct daily operations of Parking and Transportation Services, ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer
satisfaction.
6. Manage capital repair and renewal projects for parking structures and transportation infrastructure.
7. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain consistent and high-quality service delivery.
8. Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
9. Manage vendor relationships and contracts with a focus on performance metrics, compliance, and continuous improvement.
10. Ensure adherence to procurement policies and service-level agreements.
11. Promote alternative transportation modes including bike share, EV infrastructure, and microtransit.
12. Utilize data analytics and system dashboards to monitor KPIs, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
13. Other Duties as Assigned
Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a
professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge.
Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related
Master’s degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of
specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Experience
Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience
The department will accept a Bachelor’s Degree and experience if the candidate is Parking, Transportation & Mobility Professionals (PTMP) certified.
- Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience.
