Description:
The Executive Director of Institutional Research and Information Management is a leadership position in the office of Institutional Planning and Analysis reporting directly to the Associate Provost. The Executive Director serves as the University principal office with respect to managing and reporting academic date for state and federal compliance reports and external surveys, developing and managing information systems. That make institutional data available to the broader university community; and conducting analyses and providing data/reports in support of institutional decision making.
1. Manage the submission of and ensures accurate data for state- and federally mandated institutional reports and higher education surveys from external organizations.
2. Develops, manages and provides training for business intelligence systems that disseminate institutional data and performance metrics.
3. Manages development and regular publication of Institutional reports that inform the university community/external constituents and supports institution decision-making.
4. Produces data sets in support of institutional analyses and serves as an advisor on the availability and efficacy institutional data to answer specific research questions.
5. Conducts research and analysis on policy institutional issues in support of the decision ?making process of the university administration.
6. Develops departmental procedures for gathering, processing and disseminating data to the university community and external constituents.
7. Serves as liaison to both the university community and external constituents on the procedures, policies and definition used for reporting institutional data.
8. Performs other job duties as assigned.
MQ: Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:
• Doctorate degree
• Must be a multi-tasker, extremely organized with strong interpersonal and
problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly interpret and implement policies and procedures.
• Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external constituents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
