Description:

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Houston–Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor position. The start date is anticipated to be August 2026. A successful candidate must be strongly committed to undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and advising. The duties of the successful candidate include teaching courses, conducting research, and serving the program, college, and university.

Applications submitted before November 15, 2025 will be given full consideration. 

Duties:

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate CIS courses.
• Establish an appropriate research program that leads to peer reviewed publications.
• Provide service to the program, university and profession.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate Degree in Information Systems or other closely related fields by the time the position starts. All areas of emphasis will be considered.
• A successful candidate must be strongly committed to undergraduate and graduate teaching. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to candidates with background and interests in teaching data analytics or related fields.
• Preference will also be given to candidates who have a record of actively seeking external funding.
