Description:
Under minimal supervision, analyzes and evaluates transcripts from colleges, universities and military course work to identify transferable course credits.
1. Reviews and makes decisions on course credits from other domestic and/or international colleges and universities and military course credits to be transferred to UH.
2. Corresponds with officials at other institutions of higher education concerning course credits and content comparability.
3. Advises students and university staff and faculty about course credit transfers and gaps.
4. Reviews existing evaluation guides and equivalency tables to identify inconsistent catalog language and provides feedback to Lead Transcript Analyst(s).
5. Prepares articulation guides for Texas community colleges and universities.
6. May assist in the training and supervision of Transcript Analyst 1 and/or student workers.
7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:
-Higher Education experience.
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
-Ability to clearly interpret and implement policies and procedures.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

MQ: Education: Requires the ability and knowledge for analysis and interpretation of procedures, policies and practices attainable through specific education and/or training programs in a specialty or technical field. Advanced vocational or electronic skills or a basic knowledge of a professional field is required. An Associate's degree or certification/licensing in a technical specialty program of over 18 months and up to 3 years duration are characteristic of this field. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
