Description:

Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff employees, student workers, programs or processes.

1. Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
2. Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget.
3. Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
4. May prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
5. Reviews reports of budgets and activities.
6. Prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
7. May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
8. Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
9. May serve as property custodian for the department.
10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Description: This position works in the Graduate and Professional Programs at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, and is responsible for managing and working with a team to execute all the operational duties of the Executive MBA Program.  Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.  

Position includes, but not limited to, the following major functions and responsibilities to oversee two Executive MBA Programs:

Academic Management and Support

  • Coordinating with faculty for logistics, such as teaching materials, evaluations, and classroom setup
  • Handling the details of orientation, class days, specials events, and graduation
  • Communicates with executive-level students and ensure student needs are met

Operational Management and Support

  • Manages vendor relations for catering, textbooks, promotional items, and international business trip
  • Tracks program expenses
  • Provides backup support for Program Coordinator
  • Supervises support staff and student workers to coordinate efforts efficiently for program success

Qualifications and Core Competencies

  • Experience in business operations and client support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team
  • Ability to create a well-organized process to execute tasks and remain flexible
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office software and Google tools

Preferences: Experience in business operations and hospitality.

Qualifications: Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
