Seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow with expertise in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field to join a multidisciplinary research program. The successful candidate will investigate the mechanisms of visual and hearing loss associated with Usher Syndrome Type 2A using knock-in mouse models and contribute to the design and development of novel therapeutic strategies. The laboratory is equipped with excellent facilities and state-of-the-art equipment to perform basic molecular biology, vector engineering for non-viral gene therapy, electrophysiology, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), fundus imaging, light and electron microscopy and protein chemistry.

This position offers opportunities to work in a collaborative research environment, apply advanced experimental approaches, publish in high-impact journals, and contribute to grant applications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, conduct, and analyze experiments focused on molecular, biochemical, and cellular mechanisms of retinal degeneration associated with Usher Syndrome Type 2A.
• Utilize knock-in mouse models to evaluate disease progression and therapeutic outcomes.
• Perform advanced laboratory techniques, including gene expression analysis, protein assays, and imaging.
• Prepare manuscripts and present findings at scientific meetings.
• Support the training of undergraduate students in experimental design and data analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
• Publication record demonstrating expertise in relevant experimental techniques.
• Proficiency in molecular, biochemical, and cell biology methods.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with mouse models, particularly knock-in or transgenic lines.
• Background in retinal biology or neurodegeneration research.
• Knowledge in cloning and genomics techniques.
