Description:
The Natural Sciences Department is seeking 1-2 UHD students for
research to participate in an NSF-funded project on fly locomotion and
exploration.
• Works closely with faculty and generates screening data for fly
• behaviors
• Keeps accurate research data records
• Support all aspects of grant activities, including participating in monthly
• meetings and supporting a Course-Based Undergraduate Research
• Experience (CURE) lab
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience working with Drosophila, including breeding, sorting, and
• phenotyping
• Experience with Drosophila behavior assays preferred
• Enthusiastic, reliable, organized, and punctual
Qualifications
• Maximum of 19.5 hours per week
• Commitment for at least one semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer)
• Must be a current UHD student
• Must have taken Intro to Neuroscience Lab or Genetics lab
