Description:

The Student Worker for Academic Advising Center - AVP provides administrative, outreach, and operational support to the Assistant Vice President for Advising and Student Progression and the Director of Academic Planning and Experience. This position assists with initiatives focused on student retention, persistence, progression, graduation, and academic success. The student employee will communicate directly with students regarding degree completion requirements, academic planning, and university resources while maintaining strict confidentiality of student information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to students through phone calls, emails, and other approved communication methods regarding degree completion, graduation requirements, academic standing, and enrollment status.
• Assist with student retention, persistence, and graduation initiatives by identifying and contacting students who may benefit from academic support services and resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, outreach activities, and follow-up communications in university-approved systems and databases.
• Schedule appointments and connect students with academic advisors, success coaches, and other campus resources to support their academic goals.
• Provide administrative support to the Assistant Vice President for Advising and Student Progression and the Director of Academic Planning and Experience, including filing, scanning, data entry, document preparation, and event support.

Qualifications: 

• Must be a current UHD student
