Description:

Provide on-site mobile response to UH students who present with behavioral health concerns and/or experiencing mental health crises in partnership with the University of Houston Police Department (UHPD).

1. Conduct crisis intervention, mental health assessment, case management, and case monitoring.
2. Perform clinical assessments in various locations based on the nature of the request and assist individuals in accessing the appropriate level of care.
3. Provide ongoing case management and follow-up to clients to facilitate stabilization and transition to counseling, psychiatry, or other appropriate community resources.
4. Communicate and collaborate with other campus departmental resources and community providers to facilitate continuity of care for students in crisis.
5. Provide supportive resources/referrals to bystanders, family and friends of individuals experiencing mental health crises as needed.
6. Provide outreach and education to the UH community to promote help seeking, reduce stigma, and train on how to recognize signs of distress.
7. Maintain current, accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics, and university policies.
8. Collaborate with the Administrative Team to conduct Program Assessment that may include:
a. Collect and analyze data for clinical operations and decision making
b. Assess and evaluate program effectiveness
c. Identify and define system issues while developing and implementing effective solutions.
9. Participate in departmental, divisional, and university-wide meetings as required.
10. May be assigned other relevant duties as applicable.

MQ: Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Licensed as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT or Psychologist. Valid Driver's License. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
