Description:

The University of Houston Law Center (UHLC) invites applications for a non-promotion-eligible, non-tenure track, Lecturer position to teach during the academic year 2025-2026. The position for the full academic year will commence on 9/1/2025 and will end on 5/31/2026. However, since the courses start in August of 2025, there will be an appointment to the position for several months in the summer of 2025 to enable the position to transition into teaching and prepare for the course. The start date in the summer of 2025 will be no earlier than 6/15/2025.

The position will teach two sections of UHLC’s LSS course in the Fall of 2025, and two in the Spring of 2026. Examples of each for prior years are given by the links below:

An attorney appointed to the position must, at a minimum, hold a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. As a non-tenure track position, the appointee will accrue no time toward tenure at the University of Houston.

The person who obtains the non-tenure track appointment for this position can be an internal candidate eligible to apply for available faculty positions within UHLC.
