Department: College of Public Service Salary: $12.00- $14.00 per hour

Description:

Federal Work-Study positions are open for various departments, including the Dean's Office, Urban Education, Criminal Justice, and Social Work.

Duties:

• Performs front reception duties
• Files and copies of documents
• Creates and types of basic Word documents
• Performs data entry
• Research conference rooms and assist with computer equipment set-up (if needed)
• Runs campus errands (special duties)
• Searches financial information and creates PDF files
• Processes vouchers for payments (will be trained on PeopleSoft Financial System)
• Creates basic Excel spreadsheets
• Assists administrative personnel in capturing department expenses

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Students must be dependable
• Students must have good computer skills
• Students must have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Experience working in an administrative office setting
• Experience working with Windows Office Suite Programs

Qualifications:

• Must be a current student at UHD and have a minimum GPA of 2.0
• Must have been awarded Federal Work-Study from the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid
