Description:
Develops, plans, and implements the strategic plan to strengthen relationships between the University of Houston and targeted companies with the goal of securing philanthropic support and research investments.
1. Develops and implements a strategic operating plan for the office of corporate relations. Targeted businesses will include major corporations to small businesses and community organizations.
2. Maintain a strategic annual business plan, ensuring that metrics are achieved, and the team's goals are met.
3. Works with university and system administrators and faculty to identify, prioritize and coordinate funding and partnership opportunities with companies.
4. Manages own portfolio of top companies, and prospective donors with the responsibility to meet an established annual fundraising goal.
5. Review proposals, stewardship reports, and other communications.
6. Strategic oversight of budget and personnel resources.
7. Strategic oversight of qualified and non-qualified sponsorship opportunities and partnerships with the University of Houston.
8. Performs other job duties as required.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Experience: Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
