Job Summary
The Director of transfer and Early College Guided Pathways and Partnerships is responsible for developing partnerships with community colleges and early college high schools to establish guided pathways to the bachelor's degree. The Director will coordinate population and program-specific visits and work collaboratively with departments and programs to promote and streamline the transfer of students and to ensure their subsequent success.
Duties
- Recruits, trains, and supervises joint advisors and staff; devises effective team-building strategies for the joint advising staff; organizes ongoing professional development opportunities. Manages and coordinates the daily operations of the Transfer Relations Department
- Collaborates with the Enrollment Management Division to ensure efficient and effective transfer articulation and reverse transfer processes. Work closely with Enrollment Management on recruitment, admission, and transfer credit articulation
- Serves as a resource for questions on transfer, including community colleges, early college high schools, and dual credit. Assists in identifying, tracking, and analyzing transfer student data and outcomes
- Develops and seeks new partnerships with community colleges and local school districts. Aids in facilitating transfer partnerships, initiatives, and programs to reimagine transfer recruitment, enrollment, and student success
- Assists academic leadership in coordinating the development of new guided pathways, refreshing existing pathways, and ensuring articulation agreements and pathways remain current and published
- Works closely with key campus stakeholders, including admissions, academic leadership, and marketing staff. Responsibilities encompass internal and external partnerships
- Communicates with partners internally and externally to improve transparency and efficiency of the transfer process
- Collaborates with campus stakeholders to regularly review internal transfer enrollment practices to improve processes continuously. Work closely with the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Assistant Vice President for Advising and Student Progression, department chairs, deans, and other appropriate staff to establish a protocol for a seamless transfer from the Associate Degree to a baccalaureate program
- Collaborates with the registrar's office and academic departments to review transfer credit articulation and to enhance inter-institutional partnerships
- Maintains a working knowledge of current and proposed state and federal transfer policies as well as current trends and high-impact practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of transfer pathways, academic advising, recruitment best practices, varied learning modalities, experience with marketing and communications, and working with students from various backgrounds
- Knowledge of transfer programs in a higher education environment and of the related trends, issues, and accepted practices
- Knowledge of computer operations/data processing systems

Qualifications
Required Education:
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience
- Five years of relevant higher education experience or in a related field with progressive leadership working with undergraduate students (traditional and adult learners)
License/Certification:
Preferred Qualifications
- Community College Advising and Administration experience is preferred
- Five (5) years of experience in Student Services or Enrollment Management is preferred
- Experience with PeopleSoft and EAB is preferred
