The Department of Political Science at the University of Houston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in Comparative Politics, starting in Fall 2025. We welcome applications from candidates from all subfields of Comparative Politics and are particularly interested in those whose research agendas enhance or complement the department’s existing strengths. Successful candidates should have strong methodological training, a commitment to high-quality graduate and undergraduate education, and a record of excellence in scholarly research and publication (commensurate with the rank for which they are applying).
