The Department of Political Science at the University of Houston invites applications for an tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in American Public Policy to begin Fall 2025. We seek applicants whose research and teaching interests focus broadly on American politics and are open to specialty. The American Public Policy subfield at the University of Houston boasts scholars with a wide range of interests, including political behavior, institutions, and public policy. Special consideration will be given to those whose research agendas will add to the department’s existing strengths in this subfield and have potential for collaboration with a variety of current faculty. Successful candidates should have extensive methodological training, demonstrated excellence in scholarly research and publication, and a clear commitment to teaching.
