Description:

The Department of Management of the Marilyn Davies College of Business at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) seeks applicants to teach as adjunct faculty.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record or potential for instructional excellence and maintain his or her professional credentials. Specifically, we are seeking individuals with research and/or professional qualifications to teach any of the following:

  • Principles of Management
  • Operations Management
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Human Resource Management
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Staffing
  • Training and Development
  • Leadership
  • Organizational Behavior
  • Business Strategy

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in teaching discipline or closely related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in teaching discipline or closely related field
  • Academic publications in peer-reviewed journals within the last 5 years
  • Significant industry or consulting experience within the last 5 years
  • Teaching or corporate training experience
  • Minimum five years of progressive industry experience aligned or closely related to the teaching discipline
