Description:
The Department of Management of the Marilyn Davies College of Business at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) seeks applicants to teach as adjunct faculty.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record or potential for instructional excellence and maintain his or her professional credentials. Specifically, we are seeking individuals with research and/or professional qualifications to teach any of the following:
- Principles of Management
- Operations Management
- Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Human Resource Management
- Compensation and Benefits
- Staffing
- Training and Development
- Leadership
- Organizational Behavior
- Business Strategy
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in teaching discipline or closely related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in teaching discipline or closely related field
- Academic publications in peer-reviewed journals within the last 5 years
- Significant industry or consulting experience within the last 5 years
- Teaching or corporate training experience
- Minimum five years of progressive industry experience aligned or closely related to the teaching discipline
