Department: Industrial Engineering Salary: Commensurate with experience

Description:

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Houston invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position to teach courses at the Sugar Land campus with a focus on Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, and Geographic Information Systems. Adjunct Faculty are expected to be on campus multiple times a week to teach classes and perform other additional duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications: Applicants should have earned an advanced graduate degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, Data Analytics, and geographic information system (GIS). Essential skills of operating a functional GIS, with demonstrated expertise or professional experience in Systems Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics, Data Analytics, and geographic information systems (GIS). The candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, a commitment to student success and inclusive teaching, and familiarity with Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, and specifically geographic information systems.

College-level teaching experience and industry experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Technology are highly desirable.

Time Frame: The start date of this appointment is January 16, 2026.
