Department: Industrial Engineering Salary: Commensurate with experience

Description:

The Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University of Houston offers a range of undergraduate and graduate-level courses and occasionally has openings for part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach courses during the academic year. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply to be considered for these temporary, part-time positions. Applicants are encouraged to visit the ISE Department’s website and indicate the ISE courses that you are interested in teaching.  Adjunct appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis. 

Qualifications:  Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in industrial and systems engineering or a closely related field.

Adjuncts are commonly needed in these areas, but not limited to:
INDE 2333 Engineering Statistics I
INDE 3333 Engineering Economy I
INDE 3364 Engineering Statistics II
INDE 4321 Analysis –Industrial Activities
INDE 4369 Facilities Planning
INDE 4372 Operations Control
INDE 6321 Systems Safety Engineering
INDE 6333 Probability Stat for Engineers
INDE 6337 Human Factors
INDE 6365 Engineering Economy II

Time Frame:  The start date of this appointment is for Fall 2026.
